BLACKPRINT 01 - 5 MOMENTS BLACK CULTURE CHANGED SNEAKER HISTORY This month, we celebrate the individuals who have challenged the status quo and paved their own lane of greatness within the creative industry. Our three- part ‘BLACKPRINT’ series is an ode to those individuals who have inspired, motivated, and uplifted the community in many more ways than one. Whether it's spitting eclectic rhythms on a rap beat, being the upper echelon of fashion trends, or becoming the kingpin of the courts, every moment matters, and we want to make a Blackprint of it. Kicking off this series, we revisit 5 moments when Black culture has changed the course of sneaker history. 1. Clyde Waltz His Way Into His First Ever NBA Endorsement If ‘90s basketball was the golden era, the decades preceding it laid the groundwork for what was to come. And in the signature sneaker race, Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier had first dibs.Dubbed ‘Daddy Cool’ due to his collected demeanour on the court, Walt Clyde Frazier was one-of-a-kind on those hardwoods. From leading the New York Knicks to their first-ever championship title to earning seven consecutive All-Star selections, it wasn’t just his finesse that led to worldwide stardom, but what he wore on his feet. By 1973, Puma approached Clyde with the first-ever NBA endorsement deal in history: $5,000 and free shoes, and he would wear the Leather Puma Basket. However, before signing on the dotted line, the defensive guard believed the shoe was too heavy to wear on the court and insisted on having his own signature shoe that was lightweight, made of suede, and featured an embossed ‘Clyde’ logo with different color variations for every court appearance. The Clyde soon escaped the hardwood altogether. From New York's burgeoning hip-hop and B-Boy scenes to skate culture, the silhouette became bigger than the athlete whose name was stamped across it.2. Black Storytelling Takes Sneaker Culture On-ScreenBefore sneaker rotations were documented through Instagram dumps and TikTok fit checks, film and television were doing the heavy lifting. And throughout the late ‘80s and ‘90s, Black storytelling helped take sneaker culture from the streets to screens across the world.Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing delivered one of sneaker cinema’s most unforgettable moments in 1989. Buggin’ Out’s pristine White/Cement Air Jordan 4s become the centre of attention after a passer-by scuffs them with his bicycle, prompting an exchange that sneakerheads still reference decades later. It was funny, painfully relatable and, most importantly, authentic to the importance placed on keeping a fresh pair fresh. But the influence didn’t stop at the cinema. When The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air premiered in 1990, Will Smith brought the sneaker rotation into millions of living rooms. His Metallic Air Jordan 5s appeared in the show’s opening sequence, while the Grape colourway became so closely connected to Smith that Jordan Brand eventually revisited the relationship through Fresh Prince-inspired releases.Across six seasons, Jordans, Nike Basketball silhouettes, adidas Superstars, and countless other pairs became part of Will’s character rather than glorified product placement.Long before the word 'influencer' entered our vocabulary, Black television and cinema were already showing audiences how sneakers could become part of your identity. 3. Sheryl Swoopes Breaks Gender Boundaries With the Air Swoopes Michael Jordan wasn't the only basketball player making signature sneaker history in the ‘90s.Enter Sheryl Swoopes. After dropping a record-setting 47 points in the 1993 NCAA championship game and leading Texas Tech to the title, Swoopes quickly established herself as one of basketball’s brightest talents.Nike took notice. In 1995, the Nike Air Swoopes arrived, making Swoopes the first female basketball player to receive her own signature sneaker. And this wasn't simply a men's basketball shoe repackaged for women.Swoopes was involved in its creation alongside Nike designer Marni Gerber, with the sneaker built around the demands of her game. The original design featured distinctive ankle support, a midfoot strap, and Swoopes branding that ensured there was no mistaking whose signature was attached to it.The significance stretched far beyond one silhouette.A year later, Swoopes became the first player to sign with the newly formed WNBA before becoming one of the league's defining stars. Her signature line would eventually span multiple Air Swoopes models, helping create a blueprint for the generations of female athletes who followed.Today, women's basketball signature sneakers are entering another golden era. But before the latest generation could put their names on the box, Sheryl Swoopes had already kicked the door open. 4. Kanye West Takes the Reins For Sneaker FashionThe 21st century can be seen as a generation of opportunity, with a new wave of Black designers and creatives taking greater control over what sneaker culture could look like.Ye West was a prime example. His transition from music into footwear reached another level through Nike, resulting in the Air Yeezy in 2009 and eventually the infamous all-red Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” in 2014.But his next move would reshape the sneaker landscape altogether. In 2015, Ye joined forces with adidas and introduced YEEZY Season 1 alongside the YEEZY BOOST 750. The low-cut YEEZY BOOST 350 followed and quickly became one of the defining sneaker silhouettes of the decade.Minimalist Primeknit uppers, BOOST cushioning and neutral colour palettes gave YEEZY an instantly recognisable design language. But its influence stretched far beyond aesthetics.YEEZY helped blur the increasingly thin boundary between sportswear, streetwear and luxury fashion. Sneakers could sit alongside high-fashion collections, dominate social media, command huge resale premiums and still become everyday uniform.Perhaps most importantly, the partnership demonstrated just how powerful a non-athlete creative could become within the footwear industry. adidas itself described the expanded partnership in 2016 as its most significant collaboration with a non-athlete at the time.Whatever came afterwards, the cultural footprint of the adidas YEEZY era is difficult to separate from the sneaker landscape of the 2010s. The blueprint for the celebrity creative partnership had been redrawn.5. Run-D.M.C. Take Three Stripes From the Streets to the WorldBefore rappers had sneaker collaborations dropping every other week, Run-D.M.C. were putting three stripes on the global stage.By the mid-1980s, Joseph 'Run' Simmons, Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels and Jason 'Jam Master Jay' Mizell had developed a style that reflected the streets of New York rather than the extravagant wardrobes associated with some of hip-hop's earlier performers.Tracksuits. Gold chains. Kangol hats. And, most importantly, adidas Superstars worn laceless with the tongue pushed out.Their love for the shell-toe wasn't manufactured in a marketing meeting either. It was authentic to the style already being worn within their community. So, naturally, they put it on wax.In 1986, Run-D.M.C. released 'My Adidas', turning their favourite sneakers into the subject of one of hip-hop's most influential fashion statements. But the real game-changing moment happened on stage.During a performance at Madison Square Garden, Run asked the crowd to hold their adidas sneakers in the air. Thousands reportedly followed suit, demonstrating something sneaker brands were only beginning to understand: musicians could influence what people wore just as powerfully as athletes.adidas took notice, and a partnership with Run-D.M.C. followed. The significance went far beyond one group and one sneaker. Run-D.M.C. helped demonstrate the commercial power of hip-hop at a time when the genre was still fighting for recognition from mainstream America. The Superstar subsequently travelled from the hardwood to hip-hop and eventually became a global streetwear staple, with adidas continuing to recognise Run-D.M.C.'s role in that transformation decades later.Today, seeing rappers and musicians with sneaker deals feels completely normal.Run-D.M.C. helped write the BLACKPRINT.Make sure you keep it locked in with the latest from Crep Daily AIR JORDAN 12 ‘FIRESIDE’ HEATS UP THE HOLIDAY SEASON Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2026 line-up is starting to take shape, and the Air Jordan 12 ‘Fireside’ is bringing a more seasonal look to the rotation.Introduction:Following the Air Jordan 3 ‘Fireside’, this latest take on the AJ12 swaps louder color combinations for a clean mix of cream and cocoa brown. Originally rumoured as the Air Jordan 12 ‘Eggnog’, early reports didn’t quite paint the full picture, with the final pair switching up the colour blocking significantly.According to Sneaker Files and @zSneakerHeadz, the pair arrives in an official Light Orewood Brown, Cacao Wow, and Team Red colourway. Air Jordan 12 ‘Fireside’ Goes Tonal:The upper is predominantly dressed in cream pebbled leather, giving the AJ12 a neutral foundation before darker brown suede takes over the signature mudguard and lower side panels.Brown continues across the midsole, tongue branding, and upper lace loops, while metallic eyelets add a premium finish. A contrasting white heel tab and midfoot plate break things up without taking away from the understated look. The colour blocking follows a similar structure to iconic Air Jordan 12 releases like the ‘Flu Game’ and ‘Playoffs’, but trades their high-contrast palettes for something considerably more autumn-ready.Image courtesy of @zSneakerHeadz & Sneaker Files There are also obvious comparisons to the SoleFly x Air Jordan 12 ‘Cafecito’ from 2024. Both play with similar cream and coffee-inspired shades, although the ‘Fireside’ opts for a lighter base and different placement of its brown panels. When Does the Air Jordan 12 ‘Fireside’ Release? The Air Jordan 12 ‘Fireside’ releases on October 24th, 2026, priced at $215, with pairs expected to land via Nike SNKRS and selected Jordan Brand retailers. With the ‘Fireside’ joining a stacked Holiday 2026 Jordan roster, the end-of-year rotation is already looking busy.In other Crep Daily news, Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Mummy Duck’ Gets A November Release HOW TO CLEAN DIFFERENT SNEAKER MATERIALS: THE COMPLETE GUIDE Knowing how to clean different sneaker materials is essential because leather, suede, mesh, and canvas all react differently to water, dirt, and cleaning products. At Crep Protect, we treat every sneaker material type individually, providing the best care to keep them lasting longer and looking their best. To help you choose the right cleaning method for different sneaker materials, we’ve compiled the ultimate guide to effectively cleaning leather, suede, mesh, and canvas sneakers so you can always achieve a mean, box-fresh clean. Cleaning Leather Sneakers What Are Leather Sneakers Made From?Leather sneakers come in three different forms. The first type is genuine (real) leather. Genuine leather is mainly composed of cow or calf hide that is traditionally treated through tanning methods (Chromium or vegetable tannins), which help preserve its natural form without decomposition. The second type is synthetic leather, which uses plastic polymers such as polyurethane (PU) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) that can be coated with a base textile (cotton, polyester, nylon) to create the leather-like finish. PU-bonded leathers provide soft and breathable attributes to your sneakers, while PVC offers a more resilient, waterproof finish. In more recent years, newly adapted bio-based leather has become an eco-friendlier alternative, combining plant-derived waste such as apple peels, corn, and mushroom fibres to create a leather-like feel. How To Clean Genuine Leather With Crep Protect: Start Your Cleans With Crep Protect Cure Travel KitWhat Is The Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit?The Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit is our comprehensive sneaker cleaning kit designed to remove dirt and stains. Each kit includes our 100ml Cure solution, Premium sneaker cleaning brush, and microfibre cloth. Find out everything you need to know about the Cure Travel Kit here Step1: Using the Premium Brush in the Cure Kit, gently brush away any excess dirt and debris before cleaning.Top Tip: Before cleaning, we also recommend that you remove the laces so that you can easily clean the lace chambers and eyelets that collect dirt over time.Step 2: Dip the brush into a bowl of lukewarm water. Using lukewarm water is an ideal cleaning temperature because it is warm enough to remove stains without damaging the sneaker materials. Step 3: Apply 3-4 drops of the Cure solution onto the brush and gently work the leather in circular motions, starting with the uppers and working across the sides, heel, and midsoles. As genuine leather is naturally porous (can absorb water), we recommend using less water for these cleans and using the provided microfibre cloth as you go along to absorb any excess water and dirt residue.Cleaning The Laces:Step 4: Refresh the water and apply 5-7 drops of Cure Solution into the bowl. Drop the laces into the bowl and use the palms of your hands to wring out all the dirt. Repeat this step as many times as needed to remove dirt and stains.Drying Time For Genuine Leather:Now that your leather sneakers are thoroughly cleaned, allow them to air dry at room temperature. Avoid direct heat, so keep your leather sneakers away from radiators and dryers. For best results, allow the genuine leather to dry for 24-48 hours.Top Tip: To absorb excess moisture during the drying process, stuff your leather sneakers with plain paper towels. This will also help the sneaker retain shape while drying.Keep Genuine Leather Moisturised With Leather Reviver Now that your leather is clean and dry, it’s time to restore the moisture back into them, and this is where our Leather Reviver comes in handy. What Is Leather Reviver?Leather Reviver is a nourishing footwear solution designed to revive and restore the natural moisture back into your leather sneakers, bringing them back to life. Each Leather Reviver comes with a foam brush for effortless application. How To Use The Leather Reviver:Step 1: Apply a generous amount to the targeted area of the sneaker. Step 2: Use the foam brush to work the solution into the sneaker. For best results, work the solution up and down in one continuous motion until the leather is fully covered. Step 3: Allow your sneakers to dry for 24 hours. As the solution is water-based, it takes a longer time to dry. Cleaning Synthetic Leather Synthetic leather is arguably easier to tackle as it generally has a greater resistance to water than genuine leather. Materials such as polyurethane (PU) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) create a less porous surface, meaning less water is absorbed during the cleaning process. However, that doesn't mean you should completely soak your sneakers. Excessive water can still affect adhesives, stitching, and other materials used throughout the shoe. How To Clean Synthetic Leather With Crep ProtectWhen carrying out a deep clean with the Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit, you can follow the same cleaning method used for genuine leather. However, synthetic leather can generally tolerate slightly more water when tackling stubborn dirt and stains.Use the Premium Brush to remove loose dirt before dipping it into lukewarm water and applying 3–4 drops of Cure solution. Gently work the solution across the synthetic leather in circular motions before using the microfibre cloth to wipe away excess dirt and moisture.Top Tip: Pay extra attention to creases and textured panels, where dirt can build up over time. Avoid excessive scrubbing, as this could affect the surface finish.Drying Time For Synthetic LeatherSynthetic leather generally dries faster than genuine leather because it absorbs less moisture. After cleaning, leave your sneakers to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated room and keep them away from direct heat.Leather Reviver Can Be Used Less OftenUnlike genuine leather, synthetic leather doesn't require the same level of conditioning. If suitable for the specific material, Leather Reviver can be used less frequently depending on how often you wear your sneakers and their overall condition.Tips For Cleaning Bio-Based LeatherBio-based leather requires a little more consideration when cleaning, as its composition can vary significantly between sneakers. Some materials incorporate plant-derived components such as apple waste, corn or mushroom-derived fibres, while others may combine these with synthetic materials to create their leather-like finish.Because there isn't one universal type of bio-based leather, always check the footwear manufacturer's care instructions before cleaning and test your chosen cleaning method on a small, inconspicuous area first. How To Clean Bio-Based Leather With Crep ProtectStep 1: Remove Surface DirtUse a soft brush to gently remove loose dust, mud, and debris from the surface before introducing any cleaning solution.Step 2: Use Water SparinglyLightly dampen the Premium Brush from the Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit with lukewarm water. Avoid oversaturating the material, as different bio-based leathers can react differently to excess moisture.Step 3: Apply The CureAdd 3–4 drops of Crep Protect Cure solution to the brush before gently working the affected area in circular motions. Clean the sneaker section by section rather than soaking the entire upper.Step 4: Wipe Away Excess MoistureUse the microfibre cloth provided in the Cure Travel Kit to remove lifted dirt and excess moisture as you clean.Drying Bio-Based LeatherOnce clean, leave your sneakers to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated room and keep them away from radiators, hairdryers, and other direct heat sources. As bio-based materials can differ significantly between manufacturers, always follow the footwear brand's recommended drying and aftercare instructions for the specific material.Cleaning Suede SneakersWhat is Suede Made From?Suede is made from the underside of animal hide that gives its softer feel in comparison to regular leather. Once the underside is buffed and sanded, it creates a raised and velvety texture that is called a nap. Is Suede A Type Of Leather?Yes, suede is a type of leather, but due to its softer and fuzzier nature, it lacks a protective layer, making it less resistant to water damage and stains, so special care is always required when cleaning it. Dry Clean Suede With Crep Protect EraserTo keep suede stain- and scuff-free without damaging the material, it’s best to dry clean suede, as it reduces the chances of water oversaturation and colour bleeding. Water cleaning is also a very effective cleaning option, but we’ll show you how to safely do this later in the article. Step 1: Remove the Eraser from the reusable tin and use one corner of the Eraser to gently buff the affected area. Step 2: Work the Eraser into the suede in continuous motions until desired results are achieved. Top Tip: Start by applying soft pressure to your sneakers and slowly build up to a medium pressure; this will prevent damage and keep your suede from looking thin. Step 3: Brush away any excess Eraser shavings using a sneaker brush. Here's how you can get the best out of your Suede care Cleaning suede with Crep Protect CureTo clean your suede sneakers with Crep Protect Cure, you can follow the previous cleaning recommendations provided for cleaning traditional leather, but we’ll run you through a few additional tips to ensure that your suede maintains its soft, flexible form. Tip 1: Do not oversaturate the suede with water, as this will cause colour bleeding, which can cause the midsole or upper to discolor. Always patch test an area of the suede sneaker before cleaning. If the suede sneaker is made up of multicoloured suede, treat each panel separately by washing the brush after every use. Tip 2: Apply the solution and water sparingly to the premium brush; do not apply it directly to the sneaker, and gently scrub in the direction of the nap. Tip 3: Use the microfibre towel to absorb any excess moisture and to remove any remaining dirt from the nap. Tip 4: Leave your suede sneakers to completely dry naturally in a well-ventilated room, away from direct heat sources such as radiators, dryers, or sunlight. Nourish Sneakers Post-Clean With Suede ReviverLike genuine leather, cleaning suede can cause the material's natural oils to be washed out, causing the sneakers to look stiff and dry, so it’s important to keep them feeling nourished and revived. This is where our Suede Reviver steps in. What is Suede Reviver?Designed to nourish and condition, our Suede Reviver restores the original vibrancy and texture of your suede sneakers. Its 3-in-1 spray-and-dual-brush combo makes it easy to treat a range of suede types, giving your sneakers the best care. How to use Suede ReviverStep 1. Use your preferred brush type (Hard brush bristles for tougher suede and soft brush bristles for fine suede textures) to brush the nap, removing any excess debris. Step 2. Apply a generous amount of suede reviver to the sneaker and allow it to rest for 1 minute. Top Tip: Do not let the suede fully dry, as this will cause the nap to become stiff and difficult to brush, so make sure that the application process does not exceed 2 minutes.Step 3. Once the solution has been applied, use your preferred brush type to work the nap. For the best results, when brushing, follow the grain in which the suede sits on the sneaker.Cleaning Mesh Sneakers What Is Sneaker Mesh Made From?Mesh is a lightweight, breathable material commonly used across running, lifestyle, and performance sneakers. It is typically constructed from synthetic fibres such as polyester or nylon, which are woven or knitted together to create small openings throughout the fabric. This breathable construction makes mesh ideal for keeping your feet cool, but those tiny openings can also trap dust, dirt, and other debris over time. How To Clean Mesh Sneakers With Crep Protect CureYou can clean mesh sneakers using the Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit and the same basic cleaning method covered earlier in this guide. However, because mesh is softer and more flexible than materials such as leather, there are a few things to keep in mind.Step 1: Remove Loose DirtBefore introducing water or cleaning solution, gently brush away loose dirt and debris from the mesh. Avoid applying excessive pressure, particularly across thinner areas of the upper.Step 2: Clean Gently With Crep Protect CureLightly dip the Premium Brush into lukewarm water before applying 3-4 drops of Crep Protect Cure solution.Work the brush gently across the mesh using small circular motions. Allow the bristles and cleaning solution to lift dirt from between the fibres rather than aggressively scrubbing the material.Top Tip: Mesh can hold dirt below its surface. Instead of applying more pressure to stubborn areas, repeat the cleaning process gradually until the stain begins to lift.Step 3: Remove Excess MoistureUse the microfibre cloth included in the Cure Travel Kit to gently blot the mesh as you clean. This helps remove lifted dirt and excess moisture without unnecessarily saturating the upper. For sneakers combining mesh with suede, leather, or other materials, clean each material separately using the appropriate method outlined in this guide.Drying Mesh SneakersAfter cleaning, allow your mesh sneakers to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated room.Avoid radiators, tumble dryers, hairdryers, and other direct heat sources. Although mesh itself can dry relatively quickly, thicker padding and internal components may retain moisture for longer, so always make sure your sneakers are completely dry before wearing them again.Top Tip: Stuff your sneakers loosely with plain paper towels to help absorb excess moisture and maintain their shape while drying.Cleaning Canvas SneakersWhat Is Canvas Made From?Canvas is a durable woven fabric traditionally made from cotton, although modern sneaker canvas can also contain synthetic fibres or cotton-polyester blends. You’ll find the material across some of the most recognisable everyday sneakers thanks to its lightweight, flexible, and hard-wearing construction. However, the woven structure of canvas can absorb moisture and allow dirt and stains to settle between its fibers, making regular cleaning important. How To Clean Canvas Sneakers With Crep Protect CureCanvas can be cleaned using the Crep Protect Cure Travel Kit following the core cleaning method outlined earlier in this guide.Step 1: Brush Away Surface DirtStart by using the Premium Brush while dry to remove loose dirt, dust, or dried mud from the canvas. Removing surface debris first prevents you from working additional dirt into the fabric once water is introduced.Step 2: Deep Clean The CanvasDip the Premium Brush into lukewarm water and apply 3-4 drops of Crep Protect Cure solution.Gently work the solution across the canvas in circular motions, paying additional attention to heavily soiled areas.Rather than soaking the entire sneaker, work section by section and use the microfibre cloth to remove dirt and excess moisture as you go.Top Tip: Always check for colourfastness before cleaning coloured or printed canvas. Patch test the solution on a small, less visible area first, particularly when cleaning brightly coloured sneakers.Step 3: Tackle The MidsolesOnce the canvas upper is clean, you can move on to the rubber midsoles and toe caps where applicable. Use the Premium Brush and Cure solution to loosen built-up dirt before wiping the area clean with your microfibre cloth. For particularly dirty laces, remove them and follow the lace-cleaning method covered earlier in this guide.Drying Canvas SneakersLeave your canvas sneakers to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated room away from direct heat.Because canvas can absorb moisture between its woven fibres, drying time will vary depending on how wet the material becomes during cleaning and the construction of the sneaker.Stuff the sneakers loosely with plain paper towels to help absorb moisture and retain their shape, replacing the paper if it becomes heavily saturated.Top Tip: Avoid using direct heat to speed up the process. Excessive heat can affect adhesives, distort the shape of the sneaker, and potentially impact on the canvas itself.Keep Every Sneaker Material FreshDifferent sneaker materials require different levels of care, but knowing how to treat each one can help keep your rotation looking fresher for longer. From leather and suede to mesh and canvas, use the right cleaning method, avoid unnecessary damage, and give every pair the care it deserves.Clean right. Protect for longer. Stay box fresh. FAQs:Can You Clean All Sneaker Materials The Same Way?No. Different sneaker materials react differently to water, cleaning solutions, and physical agitation. Leather, suede, mesh, and canvas should therefore be treated according to their individual properties.Suede, for example, requires more careful moisture control than many synthetic materials, while genuine leather can benefit from conditioning after cleaning. What Is The Best Way To Clean Mesh Sneakers?Start by removing loose surface dirt before using a sneaker cleaning solution and a suitable brush to gently work through the mesh. Avoid aggressive scrubbing, as this can potentially affect the fibres. When using Crep Protect Cure, apply the solution to a lightly dampened Premium Brush and gently work it across the mesh before blotting away excess moisture with a microfibre cloth. Can You Use Water To Clean Suede Sneakers?Yes, suede can be cleaned using water, but it should be used sparingly. Oversaturating suede can increase the risk of colour bleeding and affect its texture.Always patch test first, apply water and cleaning solution to the brush rather than directly onto the suede, and use a microfibre cloth to absorb excess moisture as you clean. For smaller marks and scuffs, dry cleaning with the Crep Protect Eraser can provide an alternative without introducing water. Can You Wash Canvas Sneakers?Canvas sneakers can be cleaned using water and a suitable sneaker cleaning solution. However, avoid unnecessarily soaking the entire shoe.Instead, clean the canvas section by section with a damp brush and cleaning solution before removing excess dirt and moisture with a microfibre cloth.Always check the manufacturer's care instructions before cleaning your sneakers. How Do You Clean Leather Sneakers Without Damaging Them?Remove loose dirt before using a damp sneaker brush and appropriate cleaning solution to gently clean the leather.Because genuine leather is porous, avoid oversaturating it with water and remove excess moisture throughout the cleaning process. Once completely dry, a suitable leather conditioner can help restore moisture to the material. How Long Do Sneakers Take To Dry After Cleaning?Drying time depends on the sneaker material, construction, amount of water used, and conditions in the room. Some lightweight synthetic and mesh materials may dry relatively quickly, while genuine leather, canvas, internal padding, and heavily saturated sneakers can require considerably longer.Rather than relying solely on a set drying time, always make sure your sneakers are completely dry before wearing them again.Should You Dry Sneakers On A Radiator? No. Sneakers should generally be allowed to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated room away from direct heat sources such as radiators, tumble dryers, and hairdryers.Excessive heat can potentially affect adhesives, materials, and the overall shape of the sneaker. How Do You Clean Sneakers Made From Different Materials?Identify each material on the sneaker before you begin and clean the individual sections using the appropriate method.Pay particular attention to areas where materials meet. If you're cleaning a sneaker featuring both mesh and suede, for example, avoid allowing excess water from the mesh to transfer onto the suede. When in doubt, use the method appropriate for the more delicate material and patch test before carrying out a full clean. How Often Should You Clean Your Sneakers? There's no universal cleaning schedule because it depends on how often you wear your sneakers, the materials they're made from, and the conditions they're exposed to.Removing surface dirt and treating small marks regularly can help prevent grime from building up, while deeper cleans can be carried out when your sneakers require them. And unlike the lighter player-exclusive pair, this version heads straight to the dark side.Design Details:The Foamposite’s unmistakable moulded shell arrives dressed in an iridescent deep green finish, shifting between green, black and subtle purple hues as the light hits. Feather-like graphics run across the upper as another nod to the Ducks, while black takes over the tongue, collar and eyestays. But the real trick is hiding beneath the Swoosh.Image courtesy of @zSneakerHeadz / Sneaker Files A huge Barely Volt Swoosh dominates the lateral side, backed by loose, frayed white material designed to resemble mummy bandages. Glow-in-the-dark detailing adds another eerie layer to the design, making sure the ‘Mummy Duck’ nickname isn’t just there for show.Oregon DNA is everywhere. The mummified Ducks mascot appears on the heels, ‘OREGON’ branding runs vertically down the pull tabs, and further school detailing lands on the insoles. A dark outsole completes the spooky setup. The concept traces back to Oregon’s 2025 football season, when players received exclusive ‘Mummy Duck’ Foamposites alongside matching cleats. Those pairs never received a public launch, turning them into instant collector bait. Now, sneakerheads finally have a chance to join the flock.Release Info:According to zsneakerheadz / Sneaker Files, the Nike Air Foamposite Pro ‘Mummy Duck’ is scheduled to release on 16th November 2026, with style code IZ7806-001.
